EQUIP AUTO 2009 Review

We'd like to express our thanks to all those who travelled to Paris and shared time with us at the Equip Auto trade fair.

Visitors to the SUPLEX stand will have noticed we shared space with steering and suspension specialist OPTIMAL KG from Münich.  Although many voices in the aftermarket maintain the Paris fair has lost much of its appeal to international exhibitors, clearly evident in the absence of some of the big names from the industry this year, the fair was well attended, with visitors arriving not only from Western Europe but also from Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, Africa and North & South America.  There was very strong representation from the United Kingdom.  The international trade press was also very well represented.  Read more.

Equip Auto witnessed the international launch of the SUPLEX/OPTIMAL pre-assembled MacPherson strut kit for the aftermarket.  Developed and engineered together with OPTIMAL, this new product line will significantly reduce the time required by the mechanic to replace the coil-spring/damper on vehicles equipped with this type of suspension system.  With stock scheduled to be available in late January 2010 and an already extensive range numbering 120 applications for popular vehicles, this exciting product will change the way springs/dampers are replaced on certain models of car.

The fair also gave visitors an opportunity to view the new SUPLEX coil-spring packaging.
